The site-operator decided that this 'unusual' event in the system log indicated a hack-attempt, and the police broke down the donor's door and arrested him."

Assuming no salient facts are missing, this is serious stupidity. I really hope that whoever called the cops without doing their homework gets put in jail for as long as the lynx user was detained.
